Dr. Faber provides a comprehensive dental examination at a patients first visit and then periodically (usually twice per year) at hygiene (cleaning) appointments. We believe it is very important to examine a patients teeth with x-rays on a regular (usually once per year) basis. If you are appointed for a new patient exam, we ask that you obtain your most recent set of dental x-rays prior to the exam date and bring them with you to your appointment. At your exam appointment, Dr. Faber will examine your teeth for cavities and areas of decay around old fillings and crowns. Dr. Faber will also be examining your gums for signs of Periodontal (gum) disease. Some other dental treatments
Dr. Faber can provide include:
Dr. Faber and Dr. Williams are happy to see children who are cooperative and interested in their own upkeep. We find that most children who are afraid of the dentist have heard their parents talk disparagingly about dental work. For this reason, we encourage parents to foster an atmosphere of optimism prior to bringing in a child for a visit. Should a child be uncooperative at a dental visit, we have some excellent specialists (Pedodontists) we are pleased to refer him/her to. We are happy to bill your dental insurance company for your benefit on any services rendered. Patty will simply need to have your most current insurance ID card. Do remember, however, that payment for any services rendered by Dr. Faber are ultimately the responsibility of the patient if their insurance company does not pay. Very simply put our goal is to provide you-the patient-with the best quality dental care that you need and desire. This is not necessarily the goal of your dental insurance company whose profits are driven by what they don’t have to pay for. Dental insurance typically requires an out-of-pocket patient co-pay for any given service. This co-payment is usually some percentage, which varies with the service, of Dr. Fabers’ fee. Also know that dental insurance is designed only to cover minimal services for a patient who has had ongoing, regular, quality dental care. Insurance is not designed to and will not cover extensive treatment of a mouth that has been neglected. |
